A unique mug that you can use to enjoy your drinks, but you can actually use it to cook a batch of white rice.

How to use:
1. Prepare 150g of uncooked white rice and 180 ml of water.
2. Wash the rice clean first by rinsing it with water and then drain.
3. Place washed rice and water inside the mug and seal with the lid, then let sit for 30 minutes.
4. Place inside a microwave and then set to 500W, then cook for 7 minutes.
5. After heating, let it sit and cool down for 10-15 minutes. Then lift the lid and enjoy!

Great, but, must figure out microwave power settings.

I ordered two as dorm gifts and one had a chipped lid which looked small, but, created too much air ventilation for it to cook properly. I ended up buying something else, but, Sugoi Mart surprised me by sending a replacement which I'm happy to say came in perfect condition. They currently reside with me.

These are wonderful to make a small individual portion of rice. It is important to note that you will have to get the correct portion of uncooked rice to water and more importantly you will need to figure out the correct power settings and cooking time. You WILL have it bubble and spill over and/or have partially over/undercooked rice until you get these adjustments right. Place in a large bowl to catch spillage until you figure this out. Annoying yes, but, once you get it, it's easy peasy thereafter. The best thing is that it's like a mini Donabe for one and you can make soups, stews, and other one cup meals using fresh or leftover scraps. I've even crisscrossed broken chopsticks on the bottom to steam veggies and dumplings.

It makes a great cooking tool (once you figure out the settings) for a dorm or work space or anywhere when you only have access to a microwave... and it cleans easily.

Rice in a mug, why not?

I actually bought this because I like the idea of cooking rice in a mug! I'm lovin' this mug.
