Calbee's "I Heart Japan" Flavors

Calbee is one of Japan's leading snack making companies loved by many. Have you ever wanted to experience all the flavors in Japan, but just have no time? No worries! They've created an "I Heart Japan" series to highlight different prefectures of Japan for customers to be able to "taste all of Japan."

What's a prefecture? You can compare them to states in the United States. The U.S. has 50 states and Japan has 47 prefectures.

Being able to taste Japan through specialized flavors of a prefecture is a dope concept. Let's check get to know different prefectures based on these potato chip flavors!

Nakatsu is a city in Oita prefecture known as the "Holy Land of Karaage" (karaage is fried chicken). These fried chicken flavored potato chips sound so promising being from the sacred area of fried chicken. What's also cool about the bag artwork is that it's a picture of a famous scenic landscape photo of Yabakei, a famous place in Nakatsu for its autumn colors.
